Girls hit the right note in new robes Crimson style for Priory choir

Singers in the Priory Church Girls' Choir really are a smart bunch, in more ways than one. It's not just their clever ways with music which have had people singing their praises this year. Their new full-length crimson robes have been attracting attention, too.

The £2,000 cost of the new robes for the Dunstable choir was covered by cash collected from fund-raising and donations. And those donations included a £250 contribution from Beds County Council's community fund. Choir director Marie Price said the girls looked very smart in their new robes.

Meanwhile, the girls are delighted with the success of their head chorister, Leah Stevens, 17, who recently gained a prestigious gold award from the Royal School of Church Music. Leah has been singing with the choir since she was a youngster.
